Get To Know Me

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m 29 and I’m a wedding photographer based in Hull and East Yorkshire, photographing weddings across Yorkshire and the rest of the UK.

I’ve got 10 years of weddings under my belt and have photographed over 300 wedding days in that time. From relaxed countryside celebrations in East Yorkshire to busy city weddings in Hull, York, Leeds and further afield, I’ve seen pretty much everything.

Rain all day? Timelines running behind? Missing buttonholes? Wild dance floors? Nothing phases me anymore and I’ll be on hand to help.

Before focusing fully on weddings, I was a nightclub photographer for 8 years. Fast paced environments, low light, unpredictable moments, split second reactions. It taught me how to anticipate moments and capture real energy without interrupting it. That experience still shapes how I photograph weddings today.

If you’re looking for a Yorkshire wedding photographer who is calm, adaptable and feels more like a guest with a camera than a supplier directing traffic, you’re in the right place.

Meet The Team

Elder alt kid, wedding photographer, and probably on the dance floor with you straight after your First dance.

Jasper. One year old rescue. Full time menace. Part time editing assistant & admin. Zero boundaries.

My emotional support and music plug coming in with the playlist and mile long queues.

Who am I outside of Work?

If I’m not at a wedding, I’m probably being a full blown nerd about something.

I’m a gamer, a film obsessive and someone whose music taste makes absolutely no sense. One minute it’s Bad Omens or Sleep Token, the next it’s Billie Eilish or Justin Bieber. If I’m editing a wedding in Hull or driving to a venue somewhere in East Yorkshire, the playlist is chaotic but committed.

I love alternative music, but your wedding doesn’t have to be “alternative” for us to click. Whether your day is classic and elegant, colourful and chaotic, or got gamer nerd written all over it, I’m here for it. I just connect best with couples who care about doing things their own way.

If your wedding includes movie references, gaming nods or just a playlist that absolutely slaps, we’ll probably get along great.

When I’m not photographing weddings across Yorkshire, you’ll usually find me:

• Taking far too many photos of my one year old rescue cat Jasper, who runs the house

• Playing rogue likes like The Binding of Isaac or Balatro

• Logging films on Letterboxd like it’s a competitive sport

• Travelling with my partner Sami

• Attempting to perfect banana bread

• Hunting down the best speciality coffee in Hull, Leeds or Manchester

I absolutely adore animals, so if your wedding involves a dog, cat, horse or anything remotely fluffy, I’m instantly invested.

(And for absolutely no useful reason whatsoever, I’m technically a Guinness World Record holder after taking part in the biggest Secret Santa ever with 89,421 people involved. Completely random, but I’ll take it.)

What is my Approach to Wedding Photography?

Choosing the right wedding photographer is a big decision. You’re not just booking someone to take photos. You’re choosing someone who will be around you all day.

My style is relaxed, documentary led and natural. I won’t turn your wedding into a photoshoot or pull you away from your guests for hours. You get to enjoy your wedding properly while I capture the real stuff.

That means:

• Genuine laughter

• Emotional hugs

• Slightly chaotic dance floors

• The quiet in between moments you didn’t even notice

Portraits still matter though. It is your day after all. Most couples tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera. Completely normal. I guide you just enough to help you feel comfortable while keeping everything natural and unforced.

Whether you’re planning a wedding in Hull, East Yorkshire or anywhere across Yorkshire, my goal is always the same. Photos that feel like your day.

Do I sound like a good fit for you?
