HI, I’M DAN.

I’m a wedding photographer based in Hull, a short trip from Beverley. I photograph weddings across East Yorkshire, from small ceremonies in town to full days at The Beverley Barn and Tickton Grange.

My approach is relaxed and documentary led. You get on with seeing your favourite people, having a drink and enjoying the day. I’ll be looking out for the laughs, the happy tears and the moments you didn’t realise were happening.

You don’t need to be confident in front of a camera, or have a particular kind of wedding planned. A quiet ceremony and lunch afterwards is just as worth photographing as a big party. If it feels like you, that’s a good place to start.

A few words from Natalie

“All of our guests mentioned how he was everywhere on the day but never in the way, like a guest with a camera.”

YOUR KIND OF DAY.

There’s plenty of choice around Beverley. You might be keeping it small in the town centre, planning an outdoor ceremony at a barn or getting everyone together at a country house. The photographs should fit the day you’ve planned.

The Beverley Barn

I’m a recommended supplier at The Beverley Barn. Have a look at Rachel and Harry’s spring wedding for an outdoor ceremony, confetti in the gardens and their sausage dog Dottie joining in. We even managed a few photographs in the April sunset.

Tickton Grange, just outside Beverley

Lucy and Jack’s winter wedding at Tickton Grange is a lovely example of shorter coverage. Their photographs include the ceremony, time with their guests and a quick wander around the gardens before the rain arrived. You don’t need a full day booked to have those moments covered.

A smaller ceremony in town

The Old Library at Champney Treasure House is a ceremony venue in the heart of Beverley. If you’re planning a town ceremony and a meal afterwards, we can talk about coverage that suits those plans.

Wherever you’re getting married, we’ll work with the light, the weather and your timings. A short walk for portraits, a few family photos and then back to everyone else. You shouldn’t have to miss your own wedding to get photographs of it.

06 / A few useful answers

BEFORE YOU ASK.

Do you photograph weddings in Beverley?

Yes. I’m based in Hull and photograph weddings in Beverley and the surrounding villages, including The Beverley Barn and Tickton Grange. Tell me your venue and what you’ve got planned, whether it’s a ceremony in town or a full day in the countryside.

What if we feel awkward in front of a camera?

That’s completely normal. Most of the day you’ll be with your guests while I photograph things as they happen. For portraits, we’ll have a short wander and I’ll give you a little guidance. Nothing complicated, and no need to know how to pose.

How long will we be away from our guests for photographs?

I usually suggest around 10–15 minutes for a few relaxed portraits, with group photographs planned separately around the day. We can talk through who you’d like included beforehand. If the light is good later on, we might pop out again, but it’s your wedding and we’ll work around you.

Can we book a small Beverley wedding or just the ceremony?

Yes. Bespoke coverage starts at £500 for two hours, with extra hours at £225 each. It’s available Sunday–Thursday, excluding bank holidays, or any day when booked within three months of your wedding date, subject to availability. Full Day coverage is £1,900.

When should we get in touch?

Once you have a date and venue, feel free to check whether I’m free. Many couples book around a year to eighteen months ahead, especially for summer Saturdays. If your wedding is sooner, it’s still worth asking.

How do we book you?

Send me your date, venue and a little about your plans using the contact form. I usually reply within 1–2 days. We can have a relaxed chat, and if you’d like to go ahead, a signed booking agreement and £300 deposit secure your date.
