RECOMMENDED
BY RIVERLANDS.
I’m Dan, the photographer behind Dandrew Photography, and I’m a recommended photography supplier at Riverlands Wedding Barn. You’ll find me on the venue’s official recommended suppliers list.
If you’re looking around Riverlands wedding venue and wondering what a whole day there could look like, you’re in the right place. I’ve photographed celebrations here with very different personalities, from Beth and Ben’s summer party to Ellie and Dave’s Viking-inspired wedding and Izzy and Joe’s sunset-filled celebration. There’s plenty of room to make it yours.
My approach stays relaxed. I’m looking for the laughs, the people getting stuck in and the bits you might miss while you’re busy enjoying yourself. We’ll make time for family photographs and a few portraits together, then get you back to your guests.

ALL THE SPACE.
ALL THE GOOD STUFF.
Flowers filling the ceremony barn. Confetti outside. A wander past the black barn doors, then everyone getting on it later. These photographs come from Beth and Ben’s, Ellie and Dave’s, and Izzy and Joe’s weddings at Riverlands.
Have a look at the people as well as the setting. Your mates laughing, someone throwing themselves into a game, the dance floor doing its thing. That’s what makes a wedding gallery feel like your day.

Your day. Your people.

BRICK BARNS.
BIG SKIES.
GOOD PEOPLE.

Riverlands Wedding Barn is at Beeches Farm in Faxfleet, near Howden in East Yorkshire. You may also know it as East Yorkshire Barns or The Barns East Yorkshire.
The ceremony and the celebrations
The venue brings together an 18th-century brick ceremony barn, a wooden dining barn and a courtyard and garden. Hire is exclusive, and there’s on-site accommodation and camping. The venue’s official venue guide covers the spaces and current arrangements.
For photography, I like the change between those settings. The brickwork and flowers around Ellie and Dave’s ceremony give their photographs a different feel from Beth and Ben walking out in the fields. You can see both in the stories below.
A few portraits, without disappearing for ages
The black barn doors make a simple backdrop that keeps the attention on you. The courtyard and country lanes give us room for a little wander too. We’ll work with the light, your timings and whichever areas the venue says are available on the day.
You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose. I’ll give you a bit of guidance, keep things moving and leave plenty of the day for being with your people.
Make plans for the day you want
Ellie and Dave brought wooden swords and a drinking horn. Beth and Ben had morning pizza and a dance floor that went for it. You don’t need to copy either of them. The useful bit is seeing how different celebrations look in the same place.
For viewings, availability and venue hire, go straight to Riverlands. For photographs of whatever you’re planning there, that’s where I come in.

06 / A few useful answers
BEFORE
YOU ASK.
Where is Riverlands Wedding Barn?
Riverlands is at Beeches Farm, Faxfleet, near Howden in East Yorkshire, DN14 7YS. For directions and venue visits, use the official Riverlands website.
Is Riverlands the same venue as East Yorkshire Barns?
Yes. You may recognise the venue from its former names, East Yorkshire Barns or The Barns East Yorkshire. Beth and Ben’s older wedding URL uses that earlier name, but their story and Ellie and Dave’s were both photographed at Riverlands.
Are you a recommended supplier at Riverlands?
Yes! Dandrew Photography is listed on Riverlands’ recommended photography suppliers page. I’m a wedding photographer based in Hull, and the three stories on this page show real weddings I’ve photographed at the venue.
Can we have relaxed portraits and family photographs?
Absolutely. We’ll talk through the family groups you want beforehand and make a little time for portraits together. I’ll give you guidance when it helps, while most of your gallery comes from what happens naturally throughout the day.
What if it rains at our Riverlands wedding?
We’ll work with the conditions. The indoor ceremony and reception spaces are part of the story too, and we can look for a break in the weather for some outdoor photographs. We’ll discuss your plans rather than build the whole day around a particular photo or promise a sunset.
How much does your Riverlands wedding photography cost?
Full Day coverage is £1,900. Bespoke coverage starts at £500 for two hours, subject to the days and booking conditions on my pricing page. Those are my photography prices; contact Riverlands directly for venue hire.
How do we check your availability?
Send your date and plans through my contact form, and mention Riverlands. I usually reply within 1–2 days. We can have a chat about what you want photographed and the parts of the day you’re most looking forward to.
